Cheaper than a motel, more comfortable than a tent!
More detailed description:
A classic, no-frills way to camp while on the road.
I'm going to be honest: Using this truck and camper will not make you think you're living the life of luxury. The truck is old (1978 - my grandpa bought it brand new). The truck's cab is a bit smelly (just old truck smell - I actually like it, although my wife thinks I'm crazy). The truck features dual fuel tanks, so you can go about 350 miles without needing to fill up (fingers crossed!). The truck has new batteries, new tires, new windshield wipers (hey, this is western Oregon), new fuel pump, and all new belts and hoses, so you should feel safe and secure while on the road.
Additonally, the 1995 vintage StarCraft Pop-Up Camper is clean and comfortable. It features a full size over cab bed with privacy curtains, fully ventilated, tinted and screened windows, along with a couch and table that fold into a single bed. The refrigerator works with propane, electricity, or off the deep cycle battery. Lights, stove-top, and water pump work. We've never tried the propane heater, but we assume it works if you can figure it out from the manual provided. There are some basic kitchen supplies provided.
There is a luggage rack on top of the camper, but you'll need a 6-foot ladder to get up there. There is also a tow-hitch on the truck, so you can hook up a utility trailer or bike rack for your expedition.
